Happy Holidays

The mustache gift was hysterical and something Liam and I thought would be way fun. Emilia however was so not into it. She took it off right away, and proceeded to pout about it. The only thing she thought was cool about this moment in her little life was the ball of ice she insisted she hold onto and lick once in a while. The coldness in her hand eventually got the best of her but she still wouldn't let go of it!
The best shot of at least 30 takes. Smiling boy. Whats happening baby. Not thrilled girl.
Yeah she smiled! In only one photo and the other two were goofs so she got cropped on her own, lol.
Sweet brother. Liam is so in love with the girls. Emilia abandoned the sled. He stuck around for a few one on one pictures with his Sister 2 as he calls her. Darling.

December catch up

Emilia taking part in a special build at Home Depot. The kiddos made snowman door stops with a brick and paint... a little felt for a hat... it's a clever craft. Sort of silly for winter being a door stop and all. We'll have snowmen around in the summer to help us out!

Emilia:  Clothes - no way. Shoes - no way. Brush hair or put it back in a tie - no way. Walk outside in her little britches with the squids barefoot on ice - heck yeah!
 Liam's snow cave.
Liam thought it'd be cool to have the snow blower bomb him with the snow.
It was a little more then he anticipated.

Natalia is getting so big. It seems too fast. She is moving around so well on the floor now I can't believe how far she can get herself without help. She's definitely going to be an early crawler. She is interested in everything and rolls her way to it.

Recess in the snow

Our first big snow was Dec 7th this year. We went for a play date at Memorial park with good friends. This was truely the first time Emilia had been IN the snow. It's not just a skiff. It's major. She didn't know quite what to think and pretty much looked like she was in pain until she went to the truck for her baby. Bless this baby. Little Maggie is the cure all to anything uncomfortable, taking a nap, whatever! She just loves her. Liam, Hannah and Will made huge snowballs, made snow angels, got stuck in some bushes goofing around, snowball fights and eating it of course. I say eeewwww. They say Yum. Wish it was that way with everything!

Cuties

Thanksgiving night shopping with mom! Happy girl to be out with all the people getting deals after a huge day of family gatherings, tons of food, and fun.
Emilia broke my glasses. I had hoped I could get them repaired but no. No. And no. That is all they said at the optical repair place. Liam went in with me and tried on some frames for fun while waiting. He is cute. One day I am sure he will have a need for glasses. He looks pretty good in frames!

The girls are kicked back waiting for their buba... he's doing the build at Home Depot.

First Snow Date - November 9th

Oh the joy a snowfall brings in the childs eye. Last year Emilia did get a little action in the snow but this year she gets to be IN it. She is not fond of the snow outfit. Well she likes it but not on. The hat. The mittens. It's all just too much.

Liam is SOOOO excited to sled! Obviously the snowfall isn't quite enough yet for a sled date. He got crafty outside and built himself a snow ramp! Stacked cinder blocks that Mike uses for work, leaned plywood scraps, and up he climbed. It took a while but it really worked! He came inside ready for cocoa :)

Fall came and went... October 2012

We went to the beach for a brisk day of kite flying... it was so unpleasant I stayed in the truck with the girls while Mike and Liam seriously battled the wind in hopes of at least one successful kite lift. All that was a success is this cute picture of Emilia in Mike's hat... she was so pleased to be in the driver seat waiting.

We hoped and planned to take family pictures with baby Natalia with us surrounded by all of the fall colors... this is as close as we got. We love this street... we love the leaf littered walks... we love the huge canopy of color the trees hang above your head. Liam was the sample shot taker. It was seriously cold this day. We were totally under-dressed. I couldn't muster the thought of a smiling face. I am happy Liam was brave because I love these shots of him.

Emilia loves her long hair. She does not love having it brushed or anyone touching it. This day was an outside work day. She was being particularly sassy. Miss cross arms. Miss do everything possible to not look at the camera. Pretty funny for such a tiny person.

Leftover summer pictures

Left overs from beach dates in July. Serious belly and serious cuteness with little Emilia.

Look at her hair! LOL  She'll love these when she is older, hee hee.

Little Daddy Time

I noticed we didn't have any photos besides the birth photo of Mike and Natalia so last night we got a few cuties. He's been super busy prepping us for winter, wood getting, hunting, working... all not with us of course. Most of the pictures are of the kids anyways but it's good to have a few with us in them too!

Of course classic Mike he has to be a goof ball... out of 6 pics these are the best shots. The sweet Mike and the silly Mike. Left the other guys behind! :)

Miss I can do all things has a real hankering for the laptop. We use it for homeschool and she just thinks it stinks that she doesn't get her turn. She wants to push buttons when she shouldn't, turn it off, close the screen. All things that make getting anything done real tough on us. Now she has determined she is big enough to pick it up on her own and get right to work! Last night the laptop was on a shelf behind the couch. She picked it up, pushed it to where she wanted to sit (on the opposite side of the couch), sat and adjusted. We watched her go through all the steps. Those little feet sticking out from under the laptop are too stinkin cute! Mike approached her to take the picture. She put up her little hand and shook her finger at him saying no no no no. Don't take it away right?! She was pleased all he wanted was a picture of her feet!
